Root Canal Treatment in Roseville

What is Root Canal Treatment?

Root canal treatment can be performed in one or more appointments. First, we will take a digital X-ray to get a complete view of your tooth and check your surrounding bone tissue for signs of infection. Then our dentist will numb the area surrounding your tooth with local anesthesia. We will dry the tooth before using a drill to create a small access hole. This hole will allow us to clean out the infected pulp.

Once the infection is cleared out, our dentist will thoroughly clean the tooth. Finally, we will fill the interior of your tooth and seal it using a crown. This will restore the strength and structure of your tooth, as well as its overall function. Following your root canal treatment, you will experience some sensitivity. Take a few days to soft foods and avoid chewing on the treated tooth for a few days, then you will be able to eat normally in no time!

Root canal treatment is generally a pain-free procedure. Although they have a reputation for being painful, the truth is that the toothaches caused by an infected tooth are probably causing you more pain than a root canal will!
